Antigonish Highland Games
 Antigonish is proud to be host to the oldest continuous running Highland Games outside of Scotland. Since their inception in 1863, the traditional games have delighted many. Highlights during the weeklong schedule of events include the Kilted Golf Tournament, clan gatherings, piping, dancing, drumming and heavy event competitions. The Antigonish Highland Games are also well known for their outdoor tattoo and the Concert under the Stars.
Golf Courses
 There are two golf courses in the Antigonish area. The Antigonish Golf and Country Club is an 18-hole, 6,661 yard-long Championship course located in the town of Antigonish. Fiddler's Green, Atlantic Canada's only organic Golf Course, is located in Williams Point and offers incredible views from all 9 holes.
Charles V. Keating Millennium Centre
 The Charles V. Keating Millennium Centre is conveniently located within 1 kilometer of Homeward Inns of Canada, a short 5 minute walk. Located on the campus of StFX University, the $20 million multipurpose complex is home to conference and IT training facilities, a fitness and wellness centre, and two ice surfaces. The facility design effectively accommodates concerts, festivals, banquets, trade shows, conventions, and convocations. Furthermore, the Centre is capable of hosting training seminars to major corporate, institutional, and private-sector clients. All conference rooms are wired for network and internet connectivity coupled with podiums and LCD touch screen control.
Live Theatre
 Festival Antigonish is a great reason to visit Antigonish during the summer months. Relax and let the cast of one of the many fine productions entertain you in the air-conditioned comfort of the Bauer Theatre, located on the scenic St. Francis Xavier campus. Festival Antigonish has a great mix of comedy, music and drama and is sure to have a performance to please every member of your family.
Antigonish Heritage Museum
 The Antigonish Heritage Museum was opened to the general public in June of 1990. It is located in the former CN Rail Station building on East Main Street, Antigonish. This community museum strives to preserve and promote a cultural understanding of the heritage of Antigonish Town and County.
Beaches
 Antigonish is surrounded by coastlines and has several beautiful sandy beaches nearby, each with its own spectacular view. Beaches in the St. Georges area off Highway 104 include Pomquet Park Beach, Bayfield Provincial Park Beach and Dunn's Beach. Along the Sunrise Trail you will find Mahoney's Beach, Malignant Cove, Cribbon's Beach, Ballantyne's Cove, Livingstone's Cove and Arisaig Beach.
Hiking
 Slow down and take in the beauty that Antigonish has to offer by enjoying a hike in the local area. Whether you are looking for a challenging hike or a leisurely stroll there is a trail nearby to satisfy. If you are visiting in the autumn months you will be treated to the spectacular fall colors throughout the rolling hills of Antigonish. Antigonish Landing Wildlife Management Area, Fairmount Ridge, Cape George Hiking Trail, Beaver Mountain Park and Arisaig Provincial Park are just a few examples of the trails Antigonish has for you to explore and enjoy.
St. Francis Xavier University
 Antigonish is home to StFX, the number one primarily undergraduate university in Canada, just a 5-minute walk from the Homeward Inns of Canada. The campus is the site of the Charles V. Keating Millennium Centre, a top venue for sports, fitness, conferences and entertainment. The StFX campus is also home to the live nightly summer theatre of Festival Antigonish and the St. Francis Xavier University Art Gallery. Shopping
Antigonish has several shopping districts. The Antigonish Mall is home to several national chain stores as well as the area's only Nova Scotia Liquor Corporation outlet. Downtown Antigonish hosts a variety of art galleries and shops where you will find a large selection of unique gifts and souvenirs. For all your necessities, groceries and gas visit the Post Road area. James Street is home to several fast food restaurants, lounges and convenience stores all within easy walking distance from Homward Inns of Canada.
Galleries and Art Studios
Antigonish is well known for its fine craft and visual arts. Visit the StFX Art Gallery, Lyghtesome Gallery, Lyncharm Pottery or Wild Rose Studio to view work by local artists. Several talented artists make their home in and around the Antigonish area and welcome visitors to the home studios by appointment.
Carved Tree Statues
Take a walking tour through Antigonish and view the unique statues throughout the town that have been fashioned from dying elm trees.
